I got this sharpener for a really nice price. It's ugly, but worked very well.

Set up took about 5 mintues.

Noise level is very low. RPM stated about 420. Filled up the upper water reservoir and realized that the output rate control is pretty crude, but it works. Stone is 1000 grit.

My first sharpenee, a small 60 1/2 plane blade. 1000 grit stone did quick work of the rough sharpening. It took about 5 minutes to sharpen the bevel and flat sharpen the back. There is a tool rest that I set at 25 degrees. It's not the best rest, but with a little time and effort, and a leveler, it works well enough.

I took the blade to a 4000 grit stone manually afterward to hone and shine it up.

Overall, for $64, this thing was easily worth it for my money.
