I'm making a wedding gift for my daughter and I need some information. I made some captured rings.

Question?

Do you finish the ring and then break it and glue back together? Or...do you finish it after you have it glued back together?

Help Please!

Thanks!

Finish is the last thing you do.
This will give you the chance to hand sand any clean-up you need to do.
Plus it help hide the break.
Oh
Where's the pic's?????????????????????????

Okay... I understand the concept of captive rings, but I never could figure out how an interlocked pair was made. I always thought it was some kind of intricate work on the lathe... So it's simply breaking one of the rings, interlocking, and gluing?
