" Building Frameless Kitchen Cabinets (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0973186909/ref=wl_it_dp/104-9693987-4024705?%5Fencoding=UTF8&coliid=I29I9W76EJV5Q8&v=glance&colid=EJUWDNN2JH5C) by Danny Proulx" seems to get mixed reviews. Ranging from better then sliced bread to not worth the time. Does anything else exist?

Personally, I like Danny's other book better (Building Your own Kitchen Cabinets). It covers everything that frameless book does and also shows his tech. for making frame cabinets. I prefer to pocket screw frames together and to boxes. I like JimTopin's book on cabinets for his illustration of how to use a story stick- no bad measurements. Paul Levine's book on cabinets is also good, but I don't get into puting laminate on boxes. With these three books, you can tackle most any job.

Danny Proulx's book on building kitchen cabinets is EXCELLENT for the homeowner and covers both face frame and frameless. It covers basic equipment, technique and most importantly, CUT LISTS! This is the only book that does so except for that terrible newly released cabinetmaker's reference... He has a sequel called building frameless kitchen cabinets which explains a little more detail on how to utilize the system holes to their full advantage - no more drilling extra holes for drawer slides or hinges.

If you REALLY want to understand frameless cabinetry construction, try googling "process 32 blum" or "KISS II grass". Woodweb.com also has a great collection of archived forum discussions.
