Picture #11- Found a bottle of Wood Stabilizer and spread a liberal amount on the outside, let it cure for a day.

Picture #12 - Roughed out the inside to about .20 inches and really sloshed the brew on the inside. That's how it stands today. I'm going to try and get back to it later this week. Don't expect to make it much thinner. I think I'm starting to push my luck already.

As unbelievable as it may seem, this piece may have just been a TEST of my skills, foist on me by Andy, since appearantly he knows I LOVE A CHALLANGE! Boy is this a Challange!!!!!

We'll just have to wait and see!:p

Bruce, great work but, you need to blow the dust off the lathe. I can hardly read the labels anymore!:eek:

Great job Bruce. That is one big piece for that Rikon. It seemed to handle it just fine by the looks of it though.

Dontja love it whe nyou chuck up a piece of stock and when your done you open up the chuck and think, boy thats light, i dont remember it being that light.
