OK, figured I had enough time to spin up a new mallet this weekend. Nothing fancy, but it was fun.
Maple, about 8 1 /2" x 3 1/2" and ready for mortice work!
Finish is a couple coats of blo/spar varnish/turps mix with a carnuba buff.
Suzanne has a bowl or two in the works. I'll have her sign up and post pics when she's done with the finishing.
PS. Y'all like my hi-tech-light-bouncin-photo booth?!:p:D

Nice looking bonker Forrest. Should keep Ken in line. Maybe a bonk or two when he is looking down shaking his head.:p

That'll work! Really nice looking "bonker" Forrest. Let us know what Ken's head sounds like. I've got a 5-spot on hollow.....

Barry, I bet if you had a pair of these bonkers bouncing on Ken's head it would sound like a base drum:eek: :D :)
