Thanks, that was a big help. I couldn't get the one I found on FWW to work.

Piece of advise, make the oval top before you make the base. It was hard for me to get the right dimensions for the base.:o

Well-I made this from doug fir (haven't used string).

Works very well/solid; you could even attach a router to it. When done, just throw it away.
