I got a call about 3 weeks ago from the wife of a couple I met at the Christmas show last year. I had one similar to this one that they were eyeing, but another guy walked up and bought it out from under them. She wants to surprise her husband for their Anniversary this Sunday, will be delivering it to her today. I wasn't sure I'd be able to get it finished in time, spent the past 2 evenings buffing this big sucka........heat/humidity/sweat don't mix with carnuba wax!
19" diameter by about 6" deep on the lower walls.

Interesting foot design on this one, Travis. Nicely done, as usual.

Very, very nice Travis! I, too, like that foot design! Is that an oil finish?

Ken, the finish is Watco, then buffed. For the foot, turn a normal foot with the center dished out. I used a Dremel with a 1/2" sanding drum to remove all the wall of the foot except for the 3 legs, then power sanded to blend in with the body.

Very pretty piece Travis.....but I'm still trying to figure out how you turned that tape measure on top of the bark edge. :p :D

What? No glitter? No alumiburl embellishment? What gives?

Stinson pulls another one out of the hat!

Just when I think you've peaked, you take it up another notch. That's about as pretty a NE bowl as I've seen and the size makes it even more impressive.

What's next:D ?

Great bowl, Travis! I haven't finished one this big yet, but I can imagine it takes some patience. Good work.

Love the Walnut. I haven't been lucky enough to keep the bark on . Did you CA the bark? Great looking BIG bowl.

A beautiful bowl Travis. I showed my wife your work and said that you were a long lost cousin. She didn't buy that but if she gets near your work she would be getting the card out.

Terry, yes, I CA'd the bark before the final cuts for a little insurance.
