Honey locust burl HF.

The honey locust piece was started by Ellis Walentine during Sophie's BBQ. I took it home and finished it Monday. Turned to finish thickness of 1/8", doused with alcohol to dry the surface before applying a coat of witch's brew. It looks a little dull do to the wood not being totally dry when the finish was applied. I don't expect much more movement as the piece dries.

Mr. Dave, what a piece. That must have put your nerves on edge when you were getting down to completing this beauty. It has more character than and figure than one can see with one eye, I guess that is why we have 2.

Very pretty piece you have there. Excellent on the turning and I'm not so sure I would have had the nerve to turn it past about 1/2" thick. Beautiful Dave...very nice. :D
