Trying out my new computer.

A box I made for some friends

walnut and red oak, japanese drawer pulls, sliding tray is hand cut dovetail and the dividers are aromatic cedar

lazy man's finish, wipe on oil, poly, wax

Mark, you surely have a knack for boxes. Looking good. I like the design. it has a Greene & Greene-ish/Japeneseish feel to it. Is it your own design? Nice lacing on the top.

GUYS,

Thanks for the comments.

The woods are Walnut and Red Oak. my usual lazy finish all wipe on, oil, poly, wax in that order


The "INLAY" on the top is not an inlay, just looks like that in the photo. It is just routed out with a template. My wife doesn't like it at all . . . and she's japanese !

Demensions: 22 in wide, 9" tall, 7+" deep

Design? Stolen from a cabinet I saw in a mag
