Good day

Today I started to cut the oak boards into pieces.

I wold like to share with you my method of cutting straight edge on the table saw.

I used a little bit different method (to my knowledge) and I hope you will find it helpful.

Regards
niki

Thanks for posting.
I do this similarly.
I have a 12' board put back for this purpose, with two blocks on it.
I screw it to the one I am straighting up.

Aha....Great minds.............:D

Ditto me also for using two screws to fasten the wood to my guide board.

Looks like you've got some nice project material there, Niki. What are you going to make with it?

Thank you so much

If professional guys like you are using the same method, I’m even more sure that it works good.

It’s going to be Vitrina, Polish for display cabinet.

Today I cut the other edge of the oak boards straight, and than cut strips of 2-3/4” and 1-4/3”, I used the feather (I would say feeder) roller.
It went like butter, I've never had such an easy cut; pushed the oak and finish with the push stick. I had to re-adjust the roller unit for each cut but it took seconds.
I did not feel anything when the roller pressure was released and if I did not look at the roller, I would not know when the pressure is released.

I also put a piece of "something" on top of a board I want to "straighten" on the TS...usually a piece of scrap 1/8" hardboard held to the workpiece with some screws near the end or pin nails. Works great and provides a piece that a pass or two on the jointer cleans up nicely.
