Here's #2 from "pops log".

I tried a different shape and was hoping you folks would share your thoughts on it. There's still plenty of time to change the shape as it isn't hollowed yet.

I've applied the Epoxy Manhatten to the bottom so am letting it sit `til next weekend before trying to finish. My biggest "concern" is that he tenon holds......awful stale styrofoam-ish down there!

THANKS in advance for the help!

Barry I like the form. If you mixed the epoxy at least 50/50 or 60/40 you should be ok. I launched a NE bowl and lost half the bark. Keep us informed on how it turns out.

Barry, I like this form so much I have used it often the past. Good luck, and I look forward to the end results.

It is a little hard to tell because of the angle of the pictures. Pic 1 looks good to me. Pic 2 it looks like the widest part of the bowl is to low on the form. When I do that style form I usually aim to have the widest part of the bowl about 2/3 up the height. Of course with the natural edge it is a little difficult to judge the actual height but I am sure you understand.

Seems the second concern would be that side pictured in the first pic. I tried a bowl like that and the bark flew apart. Maybe keep the wall a little thick. I like that shape also but I'm nervous about that inclusion in the first pic. Good luck.

Not sure what you're lookin' for in form, but that looks like it'll work well!

I like this form Barry, but like Mike said, the largest diameter could be a little higher.

GREAT INPUT folks - thank you! And I know exactly (well approximately exactly) what you mena Mike and Ernie. If I change the shape a tad, that inclusion may go away as well. If it doesn't....what's a little explosion?
