Hi All,

I am looking for ideas for building a stand for my lathe. Any plans/pics/links out there? That rickety metal stand that came with it is starting to get on my nerves.

Randy,
Why don't you post this in the turners forum. Several over there have made there own stand.

Randy,

Here is a link to the one I built earlier this year.

Do like Don suggests and post down in the Turner mad house as many of those guys have some great benches they will be happy to share with you.

You have probably done this but just in case. Be sure and tighten all bolts and replace any missing ones. It sounds obvious but sometimes people miss that. Makes an amazing difference too.

What kind of lathe are we talking about? I built a wooden one for my bowl lathe that has hollow legs to fill with sand. If you want I can post photos of it.
