After finishing a new fence and table for my drill press this week, I started on a simple cabinet to hold the DP, bits and hand drills etc. Took about 8 hours, 1 1/2 sheets of ash plywood, full extension drawer glides and a quick spray of shellac. It's at the right height for me. Previously it was on my old Craftsman work bench and the bit was usually at eye level. Didn't seem safe at times :-)

This weekend I am laminating the out feed table on my table saw and will shoot some before and after pictures.

Very nice, Mike. I am considering one which may be on wheels and straddling the base on my floor model drill press. I would like to store stuff in that "underutilized" space!!

Kyle: This one was designed with wheels. I just added 3 " and did not use wheels since it pretty much stays in one place. The design is in "Building Woodshop Work Staions" by Danny Proulx.

Love your DP stand. Not sure my crummy DP deserves one that nice but it's a thought.:D
