Momma must have missed me! We headed out this morning. Ended up at a casino for lunch. On to Spokane's Woodcraft where Momma said get a respirator.......get what you need for pens.......get what you need for pepper grinders......get some new tools......Well we'll wait on the tools but here's what I came home with...........

Ken what a couple of gloats. Congrats. Grandkids are awesome aren't they Ken. Hey is that the secret to getting new tools is to send the wife off for a few days. :p If so I am going to start sending mine off somewhere. Maybe I will be as lucky. :D :D You better keep that woman around Ken.

Oh boy Ken, are you in for it now. You went ahead and got stuff for PENS! Say your goodbye's now folks, for we won't see Ken here again for a loooong time! Forget about getting that shop mudded Ken. Guess I'll have to find something else to do next month! We'll never get around to it if you start turning those addictive things! Seriously, I think pen turning should require a prescription from your doctor!

Hi ,my name is Forrest, and I am a Pen Turner....I have been pen free for 29 weeks, 3 days, 20 hrs......

SWEET Gloats Ken!!:D

Ken, great gloat and congrats! Good pic of the youngun and you as well. I think your going to like doing pens. Like Forrest says they are addictive.... I like to turn other things now but I have to do a pen at least once a week it seems like. You can slowly add the necessary tooling to do a larger variety of kits. Have fun! I get to have a turnathon next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, can't wait!!!

Ken,
I don't do pens but I can relate. But now that I've moved to AZ I get to see my granddaughter every day. She'll be 2 on friday the 11th, the day before my BD. Nothing better then when she runs up to me and says "Pappa" and puts up her arms to be picked up then lays her head on my shoulder and hugs me. They are a real treasure.

Don.....this is my great granddaughter! I was there for her birth! Her Momma was special to me ......she's going to be very special! That block of 8x4 cherry in that 1st photo is 6-8 chances for great grandpa to make her a rattle with captive rings finished in shellac!

Congrats Ken. First on all the goodies from WC. Second on catching a little cat nap with Riley.

Now aren't you glad I hounded you about keeping the dishes and laundry done and everything cleaned up??;) :D Me thinks that trip to WC was your reward from Momma. :D :D

Ken that is a very special picture of your great grandchild you were kind enough to share with us, it's worthy of a spot on your wall somewhere.
The tools ain't bad either.

Great gloats, Ken! Enjoy the new tools and respirator, and enjoy spoiling the heck out of that great granddaughter.
