Ok this one has been in the works for over a year! I think its the 3rd roughout for a hollow form that did when I first started doing them It has setting on the drying rack and I was moving it all the time so I decided to finaly finish it. There is a lot of curl in this piece but can't get it to show good in the pictures. This is a large vase one of the deepest hollowings I have done so far.
It measures 10" tall X 7" wide.
Finish is wipe on Gel Poly.

Very attractive. A high gloss finish would have detracted, you nailed it. Beautiful.

Nice form Jim, if any more of the figure could stand out I don't think I could stand it. Great work.

Jim, IMHO that is a wonderful vase. Great execution of form fitted with a wonderful piece of wood, and a finish that enhances it wonderfully.

Thanks Guys for the comments!
I'm gona have to rough out a few more of these, as this was the last vase shape that I had left.
These vases are a little more labor intensive because having to get a good looking finish inside as well as the outside, guess thats why it took me so long to finally finishing it!:o
