I have not done much turning lately due to the heat, but I just got around to rubbing out the potpouri holder so I thought I would post it. Also attached a picture of a pen I made about a month ago for a friend.

Not sure the wood on the bowl but the pen is spalted Maple and Wenge with Jatoba accents.

Very nice Mike! Beautiful pen. The addition of the wenge on the cap and lower barrel is a nice touch. The potpouri pot looks great, where did you get the lid thing that would allow the potpouri odor to escape?

Mike.......beautiful job on both items!

I'm betting that wood used on the potpouri holder is mahogany?

Nicely done, Mike. I'm with Ken. My guess is Mahogany also.

You need to take advantage of the weather this weekend and get some shop time in. It's a little humid, but at least it's under a hundred degrees:D

Corey - I got hte lid from Craft supplies USA

Ken and George - It is not Mohogany I cannot remember the whole name and it is not a wood I am familiar with but they have a bunch of it at the wood store I go to, I am pretty sure it begins with Amb but cannot remember the full name. It was hard as a rock.
