This was turned from a piece of Box Elder that Jim K. gave me last year.

It has 1 worm hole, doesn't go all the way thru...figured I'd leave it 'as is' for 'Character'.

4"W x 8"H x 3/16" thick, 1 coat General Finishes Danish oil.

As always, critiques are welcome and appreciated. :)

Joe,
I have a problem in that...I can't find anything wrong with your piece (j/k):) ;) :p . The wood looks beautiful the way you turned it. It looks like it has lots of curl to it. I also like that the flame isn't continuous around the neck of the piece. It is more interesting the way you turned it. I really like the shape as well. In particular I like the way the size of the "foot" mimics the size of the opening on top. It looks like a soothing classical form to me.

Winner...winner...chicken dinner...ding ding ding!!!

Now that is pretty and I love that shape Joe. Very striking wood with the red stripe with black on top of it. Nice!

To me, the form looks classical, the wood colorful and nicely figured. Your execution.................................... outstanding.

Nothing more to complain about!
