Matching Curly Maple and Purpleheart Bowls

Hi everyone, I'm new to the Creek. I've been doing woodworking and turning for a bit less than a year now, and I'm hooked. I've been lurking and admiring everyone else's turnings for a while, so I thought I'd join the fun and post some of mine.

They're turned from curly maple and purpleheart, and are about 4" in diameter by 2.5" tall.

Welcome aboard, Don. Nice-looking bowls out of two of my most-used woods. (Haven't turned a lot of purpleheart, but I've used it for flatwork.)

I see you correctly knew to show up with pics on your first post, although if ever there was a time to try to sneak one by the Picture Police, now would be it. I hear ol' Tyler's a bit busy these days. ;) :D We'll be looking for more pictures of your work as you see fit to show it.
