Not to sure on that one, but it has to be very tightly sealed I have heard, it has a finite life of approx 2yrs but some have reported it still working after 6 years

I keep my Cerdec in the drawer of the laser shop. And yes, it has been around for approx. 6 years (pancake batter original jar). When I need some I dip it out and mix some up! Seems I over bought (4 lbs. worth) when I place an order years ago LOL. STILL WORKS great though.
