Curly Maple Plate

Got a little turning in today.

I got a collar made for a HF which is drying that I did yesterday and I roughed out 2 bowls that are soaking in the DNA.

This started out as a 14" platter, but it was so warped that it ended up as a 10" x 1-1/4" plate. I was able to find some really nice curl in it.

Very pretty plate indeed. It almost looks wrinkled, which is a good thing IMHO. Curly maple is one of my favorite woods to work with and to look at. Great job, Dick.
