Hi all,

I went to the supply store and found some very nice oak and hemlock dowels, 1 1/4" diameter... I have it in my mind to turn these down for a project I'm working on. Is there any reason you can't turn down a dowel?

Thanks!
Evan

No sir.....turn away. Just use a nice sharp skew and you'll turn some nice stuff from a dowel.

Evan
isn't that what we do ( at least me anyway )
first I turn it round and then I shape it
seems to me you are starting it a little easier
but still the same result turned wood on a lathe and you had fun
ken

remember to post a picture of the done object or it really didn't happen
