quick pen question

I tried my first pen kit last night, one of the standard 7mm slim styles from Rockler. Everything went fine, but the middle gold bushing spins, is this normal? I guess I don't see how it would ever be really tight but it seems too loose. Should I CA it to the bottom half of the pen?

Yep, it floats freely between the two halves and is to be expected.

Tom, like Raymond said, this is typical on the Slimlines. Good thing, too, because I've had occassion to swap some of the plain ones for the nicer looking ones at times. :) :cool:

That "feature" bugged the heck out of me because it was pretty loose. I put a layer of transparent tape under the bushing and that tightens it up nicely.

Slimlines can be very versatile. First step to creativity: lose the center band. Problem solved.
