Well, we've gotten through the first round of voting and even though we had a certain participant take a clear lead, I'll stay the course and present the Final Round Poll (No pun intended). The person with the most votes in this poll will streak into the ever sought after position of "SMC High Council of the Au Natural Grand Poobah".

Being that group 2 had a tie, both will be presented as finalists.

1 Chris Barton - Mallee Burl - Post #49
2 Ken Fitzgerald - Peach II - Post #70
3 Joe Fisher - Moraine Locust - Post #76
4 Keith Burns - Coolibah - Post #87

I would like to note again that everyone's entry was excellent. I hope each of you learned something from the experience and I look forward to seeing more natural edged pieces from all of you.

I gotta say, I'm honored and a little surprised that I made the final cut. The work displayed here was very impressive.

The votes are in and the count shows Keith Burns has won the title of SMC High Council of the Au Natural Grand Poobah with his Coolibah Natural Edge bowls shown below. Keith is entitled to brag about his win as he sees fit and will lead the High Council of the Au Natural in any ceremonies, events, or gatherings. Long live the SMC High Council of the Au Natural Grand Poobah! Congratulations!

Thank you all once again! Speech Keith?

Awwwwwww Man!

I gave Keith a sympathy vote early on when it didn't look too promising for him.

Dang!

We need a do-over!:D

Andy.....A "Do Over"?............Okay...........

I got a pretty little piece of Texas pecan from Ernie Nyvall this week. I can handle a "Do Over"!:D

That means of course I won't be working on the ceiling of my shop but the Abyss calls!:D

CONGRATS KEITH!!! Well done piece of art.

I learned quite a bit from this so thanks to Raymond for tossing the glove down. Impressive pieces all.

I hear you on that Nyvall Pecan, Ken. I've got a piece begging to be turned into an NE myself. I hope to get on it today....but....... I've got two doors to frame in and 14 pens "ordered" so I need to get them blanks drilled and ready...........
