3/8" mastercut bowl gouge question

From what I can gather this gouge will do a nice job on fine cuts.
How is it for roughing out though? Anybody have any experience with that?

This is my favorite gouge. My "go to" gouge". It does everything asked of it.

I have used it for roughing smaller pieces when I'm not in a hurry, but I've got a couple of bulldozer-like gouges that will rough quicker with less wear and tear on me.

Works especially well on dry wood.
