Adam Howard's drum sander thread reminded me that I need to find a better source for paper for my Delta Drum sander. I've mostly used the Delta paper which is very pricey. I also tried some 2" cloth backed rolls from supergrit.com but that didn't work out as the backing kept breaking within a few minutes of installation.

Matt, I don't have the Delta rather the performax. Any way I know what your saying about the precut being pricey. Here's a place to look at. http://www.woodworkingshop.com/cgi-bin/028466F1/mac/qryitems.mac/itemDisplay?qryType=STYLE&itemSt=SR002X45&coreDsc=2%22X45%20METER%20DELTA%20DRUM%20SANDER%20 ROLLS

Industrial Abrasives is another good source.

Matt,

I had Dave Zaret buy me a 50 ft roll of paper from Klingspor.

Cost was $30 and will do about 15 wraps or so.

Contact him on the SEMIWW board for more details of how to do the order. Tell him you need 2" wide paper for a drum sander and his sales rep will tell you what you need.
