This is one of my first batch of rough outs taken to some semblance of "done". About 3" wide and alomost 2" high. finished with lacquer and waxed. The sides don't have enough curve to me, but practice is practice. I am pleased with how the bottom came out. Still figuring out how to make a jamb chuck consistently, but this one worked first try!

Pretty nice, Barry. I hope you saved your shavings for the wife to make sachets. Keep the moths away....:D

Nice job. I love turning cedar. I usually put boiled linseed oil before the final finish. Gives it a less purple look. Not better, just different.

Nice job, Barry. I'm especially pleased with a number of things "that I do not see" in the first pic. Well done.

Barry, nice work on you bowl. I especially notice the nice job finishing the bottom. I have yet to use a jam chuck.

Good looking bowl, Barry! :) My experience with Cedar is, that when done right, it looks great. Anything shy of that and it just doesn't cut it. You scored "great" on that one! :D
