Here are a couple of Pecan Hollow forms I finished up.

The first one is 11-1?2" x 3-1/2" and is finished with watco and beall buffed. This is some wood I got from Travis when we went to his house a couple months ago.

The second one is also from Travis and this one I wasn't to sure it would make it because it warped so bad during the drying process. It finished out at 13-1/2" x 3-1/2" and has gel poly and was beall buffed. This is the first time I have used the burner I got from Travis and only did the top edge. There is one spot in the HF that is 3/16" but most of it is 1/8" or thinner (except the foot).

I had to sand some of the wood away because it was a knife edge and someone (mainly Me) would get hurt on the edge.

I think the finish I put on the second HF double the weight of it.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work, Dick. It still amazes me that you guys can turn a piece of wood like that. Hollowing that form out with 1/8" walls would be tough enough, but doing so on a piece of wood with a gaping hole in the side would be a recipe for disaster in my hands.
