Maybe someone else posted this, but I lucked into a Portercable 333VS sander on closeout tonight for $59 at the local HD.

Of course the still have the Makita SCMS on sale for $499, sheesh and people are buying them.

looks like all HD's are selling the PC sanders at $59 (good deal vs $71 at Amazon)
the HD guy said that they are removing all PC stuff except the reciprocating saws and a few other PC tools.
(tongue in cheek.......looks like they are getting rid of all the good value stuff)

Be very carefull when looking for the 333VS at HD. I went in there this weekend looking for the same deal. They had these wonderful labels and magazine reprints saying how great the 333VS is, but if you looked carefully, they were hanging on single speed 333's. I raised cain with the HD employee and he said that Porter Cable themselves came through and hung the tags. HD here doesn't even stock the 333VS.

Our Sam's has the old stock single speed for $48 and some change. They seem to be picking up old rev P-C stuff. They have the old 15 ga finish nailers too

Good point. i got my Tool Crib catalog listing the 333 for $49...BUT it was the SINGLE speed version. All the ones on ebay seem to be singles as well. Best, Mike

I got my 333VS a few weeks ago at HD in INDY for 53 bucks, it was the display model.

the HD out here in CA doesn't stock the 333VS, only the 333 @ $59......sadly
