Quick Rabbet Plane ?

I have an old stanley NO.78 rabbet plane that I am going to sharpen. Is the proper position of the iron bevel up or bevel down when in use? Also I will sharpen @ 25 degrees unless someone suggests different for one reason or another. Appreciate your thoughts

actually nevermind. I figured it out. Bevel down right.

25 degrees is the Stanley standard. If I have to regrind, I frequently take the bevel down ones to 27.

Yup, BD...

I personally sharpen mine at 30 degrees as the edge is a tad stronger.
