Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum - been woodworking for a few years, but primarily hand tools. Now I'm moving into the world of power tools and needed advice on a good book for tuning/maintaining the standard tools like a cabinet saw, jointer, etc.

I was told that the book "Mastering Woodworking Machines" by Mark Duginske is good. There's also another one, "Care and Repair of Shop Machines", by John White.

Thoughts?

Jeff

Jeff,
"Mastering Woodworking Machines" by Mark Duginske is good. He goes into a bit more detail than some of the other books. I don't know anything about the other book. Good luck.

Get a copy of Mark's video. Also get a copy of John White's book. I use it more than any other book on maintaining machines.
