How do you use the "Bessey20" code, I tried entering it where I thought it would go but it said the promotional code could not be applied to this purchase.

Looks like the Bessey sale has has been trimmed back a bit. :( The 24" K-bodies are back up to $32.83, and the BESSEY20 code no longer works (at least it didn't when I tried to apply it to the 24"ers).

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a sign from the shop gods that I've got enough clamps for now?

24" is done. But you can get the 2450 package for $71 shipped. Bessey20 still works on this item.

I wonder if the prices on the Bessey clamps were an error on someone's part - the prices before the 20% discount were about 40% off regular list. Maybe they noticed the sales volume picking up on the clamps and discovered the error. Anyway, I'm glad I was able to pick up a few. Thanks, Larry, for tipping us off.

No. Amazon generally does this kind of thing. Amazon will low ball the price to generate interest, then raise the price after certain quantity objectives.

I'm guessing it means you'll be sleeping with those new clamps for a while. ;)

Thanks for the info on the 24" Besseys, Nelson. I really didn't have an immediate need for them, and I can't justify (another) 4-clamp door set. (Trying to limit the shop expenses for the rest of the month, since I've already spent more than I'd planned.) I'll just sit tight and wait until they decide to drop the prices in the 24s again.

I bought the LS1214L (laser instead of fluorescent light) for $58 (yes, 5-8) from Amazon about three weeks ago. Someone clearly fat-fingered the price. I was riddle with guilt for a couple of days, but it passed. When I received the saw, it was used and abused (someone ran the blade into the table and it was missing a few teeth on the blade). I sent it back and they promptly sent me another new one.

Apparently there is a $50 rebate too. My conscience won't let me claim it. :o

Good deal on the K2450 set...thanks for the heads-up!

Like you I've been waiting for the longer ones to go on sale, what I might end up doing is buying some of these:

http://www.ptreeusa.com/besseyK_body.htm

Scroll down and look for the X-Stender for Bessey K-Body clamps. Right now I have a few 31" clamps so if I were to pair them off I'd have some longer clamps when needed. Just an idea anyhow...

Apparently I can expect 3 of mine tomorrow and one the next day. Each clamp in a different shipment. :confused:Matt,

If it's anything like my last order, I had ordered 8 of the 31" clamps, I received 8 individual boxes. Now, I've never had UPS back into my driveway before, I was very surprised to say the least when the truck backed in. Every box was 40" X 18" X 18", and all filled with those air bags. It took me over an hour to break the boxes down and pop those bags. There is no doubt that they are extremely wasteful when it comes to shipping. I really don't know how they do it...

Here's a quick fun way to pop those air bags; Lay them out in a straight line and drive your car over them. pop pop pop pop pop pop pop :D

Another idea for getting rid of those Amazon air bags:

Take a pair of sharp scissors and slice the bags in half (right down the middle)... makes pretty quick work of all those air bags.

BTW, I ordered 4 of those 24" Besseys myself yesterday :)

It has a Unifence but it's not a Unisaw; it's a Chinese import and very different than a Uni- different trunnion, cabinet, table insert, motor, etc. Heck of a deal ........... been very tempted but I've been trying to get some feedback first.

I received shipping notification my 4 clamps shipped - in four separate shipments. Last time I got clamps from them they were shipped (also separately) in a 12" x 24" x 40" with 100's of little air bags for protection with one lonely clamp lying at the bottom of the box. It kind of makes you wonder if UPS (along with Smurfit-Stone) runs their shipping department?
