View Full Version : ironbark eucalyptus bowl

I've made a couple of bowls in the last few months, but I've mostly been focused on pens, and I didn't have a donut chuck (couldn't get around to it) but I finally made said chuck, and this is the first thing out of it. I made the bowl around Feb, but didn't turn the bottom until yesterday.

It's ironbark Eucalyptus (really nice wood), ~6"W 2"T for my uncle in England. I'm not a huge fan od the form, but I wanted to try it.

Thanks for the compliments, and yes, those are my fingers, but not for scale, I was in a hurry to take the pictures since I sent the bowl on its way quickly.

Really nice job Stephen. I'd be very pleased if one of my nephews made me somthing that nice!
