OK Jim, you've gone and done it now!!! For the last 13 years I've been babying a Magnolia tree in my front yard. Just this past year it has really started to grow. Let's see, Tree trunk height divided by diameter equals...divided by....gives me how many bowls? Hmmm, guess I need Andy for this one. Beautiful workmanship and I love the form.:)

Nice form and finish. I have never turned any magnolia. Really big growth rings. Makes me wish for the tree I had in my back yard in Baton Rouge.

Nice looking HF, and great wood looking wood. :)

I am glad you guys like the magnolia so much. I just wish I would have had more room but I couldnt convinced the kids to hold the wood on their laps for 7 hours.:p

I don't care what you said it is, to me it still looks like part of a mannequin wearing Fitzgerald's thong.

Did you have to go and point that out. That's all I can see now.

In spite of Andy's description Jim, it's a really cool form. Nice job.

Very Nice Jim. I like this form and the wood is awsome too. My wife almost snagged me some magnolia last week she knows someone that is having one cut down but the wood is already promised.
