i found this in the park, walking the dogs. i guess that if canburn it .....you can turn it. soooooo, am i think out side the box again.:rolleyes:

this was one the ground maybe a few days. it turn like green wood. here is a picture of it before i drill it for the mandel. i simply just treated it like any other wood. but i was afraid of it exploding in the lathe. shape tools and CA.

Very Kool. I think I'll have to give that a try if I can find a cone big enough. My mom loves Pine Cones at Christmas and what a great gift it would be for her. You don't mind if I try one do you:)
