Spalted Pecan

Finished this bowl up today - sanded thru 600 and finished with Watco... it doesn't look like it in the picture, but it has a very smooth finish. It is also very light-weight.

Our neighbor came over today and is leaving in the morning to visit her aunt in California. So my wife gave her a couple of bowls to take with her as gifts.........and this was one of 'em.

It's about 12" wide and about 3" tall - 1/8" thick (thank goodness for a bowl steady).
