wireless recievers

Hello everyone, just got an order from a tv station, to engrave on some wireless mic reievers, the description,
Water resistant, rugged, machined aluminum housing with noncorrosive, superhard finish .
Will cermark work for these, any help would be appreciated,

Sounds like it could possiby be anodized, in which case you could "blow through it" without the cerdec???

thats what I am hoping, I go pick up a test piece tomorrow, thanks for the reply I will let you know how it goes

If it's any color other than natural aluminum it's probably anodized. If it's still the aluminum color, brushed or polished, it's probably also clearcoated
and for cerdec you'll have to engrave low power to remove the clearcoat, then without moving it apply the cerdec, let it dry, and re-engrave at high power/low speed.
