I was looking at all of my bowl blanks that are left, and I see they are starting to rot, (Hope they are Spalting) so I got busy and turned one inbetween spraying my beer racks.

I got to say, this is the most fun you can have with your clothes on :D

Here you can see some funky cool swirl going on

The other side of the bowl

Another shot with the flash going.
So this stuff is a bit of a burl or a knot or somehthing, and even wet, I can feel it each time is goes past the gouge, so dry, this is going to be a fun one to turn, but I figure it should reward me with one nice looking bowl!!
This is the Red Keyaki again, which has proved hard, VERY hard when dry, and not easy to turn (for a guy like me with low level skills). This time I lef the bottom almost as thick as the rim, just under 2 cm.
I have one knot that has a small crack in it, I put some thin CA in it, and it came right out the other side!!
Well wish me luck on this one!
Cheers!
