Being my second bowl I tried to do things right and go through all of the sanding steps to remove the scratches. The bowl is box elder and has a ton of wave/ripple though it and I did not expect to see the red (didn’t know much about wood to expect anything – still don’t!). Its 9” round and 2” high. Finished with Minwax tung oil finish.

Great bowl Wayne, looks like you've done good at getting rid of the scratches if there were some nice finish too really popps the grain.
