OK, so I've been making sawdust out of tree-products for about 3 months now and I just know enough to be considered dangerous...

Anyway, here are some pics of my "first" project (warts and all) besides building shop jigs.

The whole thing is constructed from 1/2" Oak plywood, and took portions of 3 weekends to complete. The little black "dot" in pic 4 to the left of the drop-in charger slot is in reality a 1/8" fiber-optic pipe to show the charging status of the radio. Not a pretty project by any means but functional for what I need to carry on a daily basis. And... it gave me a chance to practice and learn from my mistakes (of which there were many).

Nice job, Art! I had thought about making something like this for the middle seat of our van.

Very functional and nicely done ... good idea I'm sure many will copy!

That is a really good project. You did a very good job. So many times those areas contain a lot of wasted space. I like it out of wood so that whatever you need to have there can be easily mounted.

Bravo!

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. Now... I wonder if that thing's gonna fit in the new truck they just told me about
