I am finishing up a wormy chestnut mantel for a customer and I decided to try (for the first time) Tried and True Original Finish on it. Following the directions, I put the first coat on this evening, waited an hour and rubbed it off. Tomorrow evening I will buff with steel wool and then repeat the process a couple times over the next few days. After that am I done? Do I need to, or should I do anything else after that? Just looking for any pointers. So far it just seems too easy.

I should note I really like the results so far. I can't wait to see what it looks like after buffing it out.

Jon,
Depending on the weather....make sure the first coat is dry...48 to 72 hours and finsh the buffing with the grain...It has a nice hand rubbed feel and look...3 to 4 coats will do it
