Canarywood bowl. I got this wood from ebay but not in the grab bag. It is 3 inch diameter and about 2 inch high. Finish is oil and buffed.

Looks good, but you could only get a couple of decent sized scoops of icecream in that one :D
How is the Canarywood to work?

It is oily and doesn't seem to take a any kind of finish. I tried several different finishes, danish oil, BLO. Ended up just buffing it and it came out better than anything I put on it. Turn real nice. Not much tear out. Fills sandpaper up real quick. Sharp tools, sanding sealer and buff seemed to work pretty good.

Nice looking bowl Rich. I was wondering myself how that would turn. Almost bought some of the big auction site myself.

Nice work Rich.Boy that is some pretty canarywood. Much darker than I have seen.

I agree Corey haven't seen any Canary wood that dark myself. That aside lookin good Rich.

Very pretty, Rich. I like the figure in this wood, and the natural luster is just awesome.
