Water Rescue Dog

I'm in the process of training our 11 month old Newfoundland for water rescue. One of the things that they have to do is jump from a boat and tow a line to shore. Getting any dog to jump, or dive into the water from an elevated platform can be a chore. Well, last weekend, she learned to to jump from the dock.

So this weekend, I decided to see what she would do when I took het out in the boat, and this was what happend. :D :D :D

As you can tell, I am VERY proud of her. These kinds of things can take a couple of years to train, and she's done it all in 2 weeks!

Very Cool. They just grow up too fast though. Next thing ya know, all the boy dogs will be hanging around your place. And then there's the senior prom dress (playing tug with it of course) and wanting her own car (to chase). But at least she'll never get tired of getting you to rub her belly.:D
