Son's Birthday Desk

My son asked me to make him a new desk for his birthday so who am I to refuse him?

This is made with 1/2" birch ply in a kind of modern/scandinavian style. the top is two layers glued together.

He's happy and others who have seen it now want one. What have I done?!? :D

All of my boys are computer geeks so the open space in the cpu holder is not just for the extra heat from the monster power supply, but also so you can see the lights inside the plexi sides.

I used several coats of wipe on poly. We'll see how well that holds up.
