A friend asked me if I wanted a peice of fire wood. It turned out to be a peice of elm we cut up about fifteen years ago .It was pretty rotten and checked but I managed to get Two 3.5 inch round orbs out of one piece I gave him one ,cause he said I couldnt get any usable wood out of it , and here is the other. Deft and turtle wax.

Very lovely, Robert. Did you use a jam/cup chuck to finish off the ends?

No sir ,I just turn the ends down till ,well as small as possible. 1/8 or so then cut them off ,and random orbit lightly.

Very nice Robert. I'm afraid if I tried those, they'd end up looking more like eggs.:o

Nicely done! That's something that I'm afraid to try! Hard enough
getting a half circle! Maybe if I try to turn an egg it'll come out round!

Your roundosities are fantabulous, Robert. Good work, woodpile or not!
