Spalted Maple Bowl

This is the last and largest of the chunks of spalted maple I got from Bill Grumbine awhile back. Turns out it was not only spalted, but has some amazing curl as well...I suspect it will be a long time before I see another piece of wood that looks so gnarly in the raw and turns out so nice in the finished product. About 4"x2-1/4", finish is just a coat of CA sanded to 600 and some serious buffing:
