Opportunity to Buy

Today at a garage sale up the street I spotted a lathe. The guys wife is selling it as she's helping him exit the hobby.

It's a Delta 46-715. Asking price is $500, I offered $350. I hope to hear soon.

I'm not a turner, but for the right price I'll add vessels to the flat side of this hobby. Would I be hurt if I paid $300 - $350 for this one?

It includes a small set of turning tools as well as a set of pen turning tools. They're nothing special.. but they're shinny new.

Based on a "street price" as illustrated by Greg, your $350 offer is about right....50% of new as long as it's in fine shape.
