I took this picture yesterday as it brought back fond memories of Grandma's kitchen from my youth. Oh, the tasty pastries and breads that came from that oven make me drool.
Keeping the wood supply up always insured that you got lots of samples of the baking and canning that went on in the summer kitchen.
And also the modern stool seat that hung behind the kitchen range that you stuck under your coat for use when you had to make a trip to the little house out behind the big house on those cccccccold fffrosty mornings. LOL
The ladies had this range fired up and were actually baking goodies in it. And yes I snuck a sample or two. LOL
