I wasn't going to show this on but then said Ah Heck! Why not. Spalted Oak that was pretty punky. It started as a much bigger bowl but just kept crumbling away I finally ended up with this. Even this had chuncks falling out around the bottom. I couldn't turn a tenon that would hold so I turned it inverted. The bowl is 6" X 2 1/2" and only finish is BLO.

Christopher.........excellent job with the wood at hand! I like this bowl! So....I've got to ask.....How many gallons did you sweat while turning this?:D

Has a real narley look to it Chris. Nice job. I think if you turn something as soft and punky like this and it makes it off the lathe in one piece then you should post it! You earned it!
