Another site has a 'show us your favorite project' thread going. There's some very nice pictures posted...so me thinks maybe we should do that here, too...for folks that don't patronize the other.

I'll go first, since I stole the idea. :o

All things considered, I think the dining room I built for the last mesquite show is probably what I've been most happy with.

From the depths of antiquity, as least as far as my sawdust production goes:

Hardly fine woodworking, but I see it every day (sitting in it right now in fact) and it has certainly contributed to my "quality of life" since I did it.

(Excuse the lame site, it was for an HTML class I took several years back, never updated.)

From a woodworking perspective, my most challenging/rewarding project so far is the Hutch - pic.

Most rewarding as a family man is the kids beds - here (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=32734).

Great pics guys.

Is been a couple of years (2003?), but here is my favorite.

Based on the Ron Clarkson book, this is an 18th Century Philadelphia Tea Table with a carved pie crust top and ball and claw feet.

This was the first crack at furniture carving, which I enjoyed very much.

Calvin-

Just wondering why you would wire that beautiful table? Does it spin? :D :D :D

Seriously, that is a great first effort and nice looking piece of furniture; thanks for sharing!

Ok, I'll bite too.

I built this chair a few years ago for a furniture show. I think its been one of my favorites since I managed to do all the traditional chair joinery, a bent lamination, and upholstry all on the only chair I've ever built, and somehow managed to pull it off.

This is a good thread, its great to see everyone's work.

As soon as the new shop is set up I'll be making a Coffee table similar to it at the request of my oldest son.

I'm still pretty early in my wodworking endeavors, but so far, my favorite project is a toss-up between these two...

Quilt pattern end-grain cutting board made of maple, walnut, cherry, padauk, and purpleheart:

Pool cue case made of quilted maple, jatoba, and purpleheart:

Those are great projects.
As a newbie, this corner shelf project got me excited about working with wood. Now I'm on to more challenging projects and learning more everyday.

Well, I spent about half the day cutting out bracket feet, simlar to Rick de Rogue had on his night stand. Here is some pics of two chests I made before I saw his. If I had seen his first I sure would have cut the profile on the front of the feet, but all and all I was satisfied. Barry Bruner

While this one may not be my favorite piece I've done (but it's close) it is my best.

Sliver Chest (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=20331)

Neat idea for a thread.

Not to sure if this is my absolute favorite project that I have completed, but it sure is "up there"! It is obviously a poker table. I built it from red oak for inclusion in my bar room and it took a number of different jigs to complete. I have a complete pictorial essay of its building process on my web log site at http://leatheruppers.blogspot.com/

I wanted to put up a photo of my house I built but I don't have one since the exterior was complete and I guess that is not really what you are looking for here. But trust me, it is one huge woodworking project!

So I decided to go with the Dinning Room. It's not quite done but it's my favorite project for sure! I built all beams and all the wall paneling out of maple. It's all finished with Shellac.

All the trim was hand planned. My planer would tear out the maple really bad and I couldn't get a smooth finish. So I spent about 3 weeks working at night hand planning all the trim. It was a job but I must say I learned so much more about hand planes and I have a new respect for what they can do and the the people that used them in years gone by.

I still need to tape up the room and spray on two more coats on the walls and it will be done.

My most satisfying project was my granddaughters cradle. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=2801
I’m hoping my current project will become my new favorite.

Wine cellars are my favorite - no two are the same.

Nice to see old projects I haven't seen before. Great work!

As of now, my favorite is the Townsend style chest I did about a year ago. Please see http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=24365

Of course, I always hope that my next project will be my new favorite.
