After seeing so many great bowls here I finally managed to turn a few that I'm not ashamed of and thought I would share them. The Walnut (6X 2 1/2) is from a small log Ernie was kind enough to let me have when we went to the Houston WW show.

Cecil, I wouldn't be ashamed of those either! Great job. They shine
like a new penny. I've got some Walnut from Ernie also but for several
different reasons I haven't been able to turn any of it yet....But me
thinks this weekend... :) .

Cecil, Right On! This is beautiful work. What did you use to finish these? It is really nice. Thanks for sharing.:) See, us "old guys" do have something left to give! I hope you didn't ache as much as I did.:(

Great bowls, Cecil. They're both beautiful, but the grain on the ash one really stands out to me.

Cecil I saw the walnut log when Ernie gave it to you, didn't see the bowl in it, guess thats why I'll probably always be a flatlander :D :D :D .

Great work!!

Cecil those are some beautiful bowls. What kind of finish did you use on them? You did a wonderful job on those. Keepers for sure.

Those look great Cecil. That ash has a little curl in it too. I bet it really stands out in person.

No matter what you finished them with they are very nice bowls. If they were mine I would put them out on display so they would be easy to see when guest came to visit my home.
